M. Ibrahima Diagne, a toujours été passionné d’économie. Après le baccalauréat, il alla étudier à l’Université Paris XII puis à HEC Montréal.
De retour au pays en 1995, il s’engagea dans le projet Trade point(le tout premier à l’ère d’internet au Sénégal).
Pendant 5 ans il fut dans la construction du premier guichet unique virtuel du Sénégal et d’Afrique (ORBUS). Après avoir eu son MBA Exécutive à l’UQAM de Montréal et son Exécutive Master à l’HEC, il se voit confier la mission de mettre sur pied Gaindé 2000 en 2002.
En quelques années, non seulement, il remplit les objectifs qui lui sont fixés, mais réussit à positionner le GIE spécialisé dans le commerce électronique comme une référence nationale et internationale en matière d’économie numérique.

Toujours à la quête de l’excellence, M. Ibrahima Nour Eddine Diagne et son équipe ont mis en œuvre, avec ORBUS, « la première plateforme de dématérialisation du Sénégal par l’ancienneté, le nombre de parties prenantes et le volume de travail », les premières signatures électroniques au Sénégal dès 2012 et la première infrastructure PKI en 2015.
Enfin, c’est un homme d’innovation et il donne à beaucoup de jeunes l’opportunité de présenter des projets qui seront primés pour les meilleurs d’entre eux. Et ceci à travers Gaindé Startup Challenge
